DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request for a LDC Text Amendment to Section 708, to clarify minimum off-street parking requirements in Table 7.10; and Section 709, to allow and provide dimensional standards for on-street parking on private roads and drive aisles. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on March 1, 2023, with a recommendation of approval (7:0).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on April 4, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. and the second reading on April 18, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
