DESCRIPTION
The Roads and Drainage Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in constructing drainage improvements along U.S. Highway 27 and along local streets within the community of South Lake Wales. The work primarily consists of installing a new storm sewer, drainage structures, drainage manholes, ditch bottom inlets and drainage ditches.
Bid 24-641, South Lake Wales Drainage Improvement Project - ARP was issued, and three contractors submitted bids. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Cobb Site Development, Inc.

A recommendation of award was issued to Cobb Site Development, Inc., and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $179,764.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $3,775,058.51. The contract time for this project is 240 days to final completion. Allowance time for the project is 36 days.
This project is fully funded through the American Rescue Plan through the United States Department of Treasury.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve a construction contract with Cobb Site Development, Inc. in the amount of $3,775,058.51 for Bid 24-641, South Lake Wales Drainage Improvement Project - ARP.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available in the American Rescue Plan Funds.
