DESCRIPTION
On November 17, 2020, the Board approved the required grant agreement between FEMA and Polk County for the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funding Agreement for Central County Jail Auxiliary Power Generator System, Contract #H0349. The grant award to Polk County provides for grant funds to be expended for providing auxiliary power for the Central County Jail. (Total funding was $1,507,750; Federal share was $1,130,812.50, and County match was $376,937.50)
Approval of Modification Number One to the FEMA HMGP funding Agreement for FEMA Project #4337-0246-R, Polk County Central County Jail Auxiliary Power Generator System, Contract #H0349 provides an amendment to increase the Federal funding between the FEMA HMGP and Polk County.
The modification increases the total project cost to $1,747,960 (Federal share of $1,310,970, and County share of $436,990). Modification Number One will also extend the contract expiration date to July 31, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Modification Number One to Contract #H0349 for FEMA Project #4337-0246-R, Central County Jail Auxiliary Power Generator System, between FDEM and Polk County for the HMGP funding Agreement and a CIP amendment, budget resolution, and budget transfer the General Fund Reserve for Cash Balance Forward.
