DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Management Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors to renovate the soccer building in Hunt Fountain Park located at 2020 Duff Road, Lakeland, FL.
This building was constructed over 20 years ago to service the recreational youth soccer league that plays at Hunt Fountain Park. Due to its age, the facility needs a new roof and HVAC system. In addition to these repairs the soccer league worked with Parks and Facilities Management staff have to develop a plan to re-configure the floor plan to make larger meeting rooms to facilitate meetings and training.
This project is included in the Parks and Natural Resources FY 24/25 adopted Community Investment Program (CIP) Replacement/ Repurpose Project No. 3500061.
Bid 24-520 SM, Renovation of Hunt Fountain Soccer Building was issued, and four contractors submitted bids.

A recommendation of award was issued to Waller Construction, Inc., and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $11,285.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $237,001.00. The contract time for this project is 300 days. Allowance time for the project is 60 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve construction contract with Waller Construction, Inc. in the amount of $237,001.00 for Bid 24-520 SM, Renovation of Hunt Fountain Soccer Building.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Leisure Services MSTU Fund.
