DESCRIPTION
The Solid Waste division requested Procurement to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide various professional engineering services covering civil, solid waste, geotechnical, geoenvironmental and hydrogeological engineering. Services typically span all phases of project implementation including planning, conceptual or preliminary design, final design, permitting, bidding, construction, and operation. The engineers will coordinate on projects with various State and Federal regulatory agencies including the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Southwest Florida Water Management District, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 26-251, Solid Waste Professional Engineering Services was issued, and four vendors submitted a proposal. The selection committee met on June 30, 2026, to evaluate and score the proposals. The committee decided to elevate the three highest ranked proposers to interviews. On July 14, 2026, the selection committee conducted proposer interviews. After the interviews, the consensus of the selection committee was to request that the Board authorize staff to enter into contract negotiations with all Proposers elevated to interviews.
