DESCRIPTION

The Polk County Efficiency Commission was appointed in January 2022, after a 1-year delay due to the pandemic. They met over the fall and winter 2022 and decided to focus on major issues that had both financial and effectiveness implications.

The interim report was accepted by the Board on February 7, 2023.  The Efficiency Commission then met on February 15, 2023, and approved the final report, which is attached for the Board to accept. 

Once the final report is received and accepted by the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager will have 12 months to prepare and deliver a compliance report showing actions taken or refused on each of the Efficiency Commission recommendations.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request the Board accept the Efficiency Commission report containing final recommendations.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact for accepting this report.
