DESCRIPTION
The County Utilities Division currently disposes of wastewater biosolids from its wastewater treatment facilities at the County’s North Central Landfill. In anticipation of changing regulations, the Biosolids Master Plan will examine options for the County related to biosolids disposal if the current method is no longer an option. Objectives related to these services are not limited to evaluation of alternatives, developing cost-effective long-term plan, permitting, funding, public communication, etc. Accordingly, the consultant will provide project management services, regulatory review, assessment of available technology and treatment alternatives and finally, prepare the resultant master plan document. The County has requested the Consultant to provide these Biosolids Master Plan services in support of the project.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Consultant Services Authorization 2024-014-06, with Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. for the Biosolids Master Plan project at a not-to-exceed cost of $214,964.00.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding in the amount of $214,964.00 is available in the Utilities Operating fund.
