DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated request to amend LDC Chapter 4, Section 403.01.C, Table 4: Wahneta Neighborhood Plan - Use Table to add “Gas Station” as a conditional use in the High-Impact Commercial Center-X (HIC-X) land use district. On October 7, 2026, the Planning Commission recommend approval (Vote 7:0) of the amendment.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
