DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated LDC text amendment to modify Section 705.B to lower the required levels of review when approving residential Access via Easement requests. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on August 7, 2024, with a recommendation of approval (7-0).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings. The adoption hearing will be held September 17, 2024.
