DESCRIPTION
Polk County has received and processed an application from a qualified new business, referred to herein as Project Clean Water, requesting an economic development ad valorem tax exemption, pursuant to Ordinance 2022-069. Before such an exemption may be granted, the Board must adopt an exemption ordinance, and the applicant/business is required to enter into a performance agreement with the County. A public hearing is required to consider adoption of the exemption ordinance, at which time the Board will also be asked to approve and execute the performance agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set a public hearing on August 4, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. for purposes of considering adoption of an ordinance granting an economic development ad valorem tax exemption to a new business and approving a performance agreement with the company.
