DESCRIPTION
Request the Board, by its own motion, vacate portions of platted and unmaintained rights-of-way lying generally south of North Boulevard and north of South Boulevard East at Powerline Road, lying east of Tracts A through M in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3 and the Northeast 1/4 of Section 10 and lying west of Tracts 1, 16, 17 and 32 in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 2 and west of Tracts 1 and 16 in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11, all as shown on the map of Florida Development Company Tract recorded in Plat Book 3, Pages 60 and 61; and lying west of Tract 16 as shown on the Replat of Prince Orange Manor, recorded in Plat Book 29, Page 9. The subject rights-of-way lie in Township 27 South, Range 27 East.
The map of Florida Development Company Tract, filed in 1914, depicts various rights-of-ways throughout the plat and the Replat of Prince Orange Manor, recorded in 1929, dedicated to the public various rights-of-ways throughout the plat. The developer of a large-scale residential development has entered into an Infrastructure Agreement with the County wherein the developer is constructing a northerly extension of a County roadway known as Powerline Road. The proposed roadway is to be constructed parallel with, and slightly to the west of, the subject platted right-of-way and the developer is conveying the right-of-way associated with the entire extension to the County in two phases in accordance with the agreement. County staff contacted the property owners lying adjacent to the subject vacation area which are not affiliated with the development of the roadway and no responses have been received to date.
