DESCRIPTION

This Interlocal Agreement outlines the specific obligations for both Polk County and Highlands County with respect to future roadway improvements as well as future land development projects with an access point or points on West County Line Road. The Interlocal Agreement also outlines specific roadway maintenance obligations for each municipality including pavement patching, cross road culvert maintenance, signage and striping maintenance, drainage maintenance, ditch maintenance, right-of-way mowing, tree trimming, litter removal, and right-of-way permitting.

In accordance with the Clerk’s Office requirements for processing future invoices associated with this agreement; Polk County and Highlands County need to enter into an agreement to document the financial and management responsibilities of implementing these road improvements. Attached is the Interlocal Agreement for Future Improvements on West County Line Road.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Approve Interlocal Agreement between Polk County and Highlands County for Future Road Improvements on West County Line Road.
