DESCRIPTION
The North Lake Fitness Trail is currently programmed into the FDOT FY 2024 budget ($381,940.00). These funds will be requested to be rolled into the FDOT FY 2025. The project is a proposed 0.64 mile trail surrounding North Lake in Davenport. It will be a complete loop trail starting west of CR 547 at the Tom Fellows Community Center, continuing west along North Blvd W, turning south along West Blvd N, and then turning east to return to the Tom Fellows Community Center. Polk County is a LAP Certified entity and has agreed to manage the project on behalf of the City of Davenport.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve the Local Agency Program Agreement with FDOT for design services of the North Lake Fitness Rail in the City of Davenport and approve the associated Resolution that authorizes the Chairman to execute the LAP Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no financial obligation to Polk County. An Interlocal Agreement was executed between Polk County and the City of Davenport whereby the City of Davenport will be responsible for all costs that are more than the funding provided in the LAP Agreement.
