DESCRIPTION
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) requests the BoCC release and approve the appropriation and expenditure of $150,000.00 from the Domestic Violence Training Fund for drone equipment to be used for training and patrol deployment by deputy sheriffs when responding to domestic violence calls. These funds will be used in accordance with FSS 938.08. Per the statute, the agency can utilize the funds for equipment to train law enforcement personnel in combating domestic violence.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the appropriation and expenditure from the Domestic Violence Training Fund.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Domestic Violence Training Fund.
