DESCRIPTION

The Parks and Natural Resources Division’s new Chemical Storage Building will allow for increased chemical storage space, mixing stations and efficient pull through for loading of material.  The increase in quantity of product storage has escalated as mosquito control treatment demands have expanded along with the increase in acreage of natural areas being managed.  The Board approved CIP project #5600087 and staff is proceeding with the next step. 

 

To implement the project, CSA No. 2021-034-2 provides for the design architectural and engineering services as required in accordance with the consultant’s agreement. The services to be provided by Borrelli & Partners Inc. will be considered as finalized once the Polk County Parks & Natural Resources Division, new Chemical Storage Building project is 100% completed and closed out.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve CSA No. 2021-034-2 with Borrelli & Partners, design architectural and engineering services associated with the Polk County Parks & Natural Resources Division, new Chemical Storage Building CIP project for a $172,579.50 one-time expense.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

Funds are available in the Polk County Parks and Natural Resources Division CIP project budget in the General Capital Improvement Fund.
