Approve Release of Easements for drainage easements adjacent to Lake Mattie in conjunction with development. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
In April of 1999 B.L. Lanier and B.L. Lanier & Associates granted to the County, Drainage Easements which were recorded in O.R. Book 4980, at Pages 2194 through 2196; O.R. Book 4980, at Pages 2200 through 2202 and in O.R. Book 4980, at Pages 2197 through 2199, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. Mattie Capital Partners, LLC is the current owner of large tracts of land which are encumbered by the easements and it is in the process of developing the property into a residential development through the City of Auburndale. A representative for the owner contacted the County and requested a release of the easements which encumber the development property. The drainage associated with the easements is being accommodated by the City reviewed development. The Roads and Drainage Division has reviewed the request and has approved the release of the easements. Approving the Release of Easements will release the encumbrance of the drainage easements on the parent tract and allow the property owner to move forward with its development plans.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the aforementioned Release of Easements.
