DESCRIPTION
On December 5, 2023, the Board entered into Agreement 2023-074, with Wharton-Smith, Inc., to provide pre-construction CMAR services for the NERWWTF expansion from 6 to 9 million gallons daily (MGD) project to be completed in 2 phases.
On September 17, 2024, the Board approved Amendment No. 1 to the agreement for additional pre-construction services in anticipation of the following 5 GMPs to be approved by the Board:
* GMP #1: Phase A-Deep Bed Filters, Chlorine Contact Chambers, Dewatering, Chemical Feed Building
* GMP #2: Phase A-Electrical and Communication Improvements, Phase E Other Plant-wide Improvements (e.g. generator replacements, switching from medium voltage to low voltage)
* GMP #3: Phase B-Headworks, Return Pump Station, Electrical Building No. 3
* GMP #4: Phase C-Biological Nutrient Removal, Equalization Tank, Splitter Box Blower/MCC Building
* GMP #5: Phase D-Ground Storage Reservoir, High Service Pump Station, Augmentation Wells
On December 17, 2024, the Board approved GMP No. 1 in the amount of $41,644,133.00, to construct Phase A - Deep Bed Filters, Chlorine Contact Chambers, Dewatering, and Chemical Feed Building.
On February 28, 2025, the Board approved GMP No. 2 in the amount of $30,421,036.00, to construct Phase A- Electrical and Communication Improvements, Phase E Other Plant-wide improvements (e.g. generator replacements, switching from medium voltage to low voltage).
Pre-construction services for Phase B-Headworks, Return Pump Station, Electrical Building No. 3, which includes design and bidding services, are now complete, and Wharton-Smith has provided the attached GMP No. 3 in the amount of $50,825,822.00 to construct these improvements.
