DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated LDC Text Amendment text amendment to Appendix E adding for an activity center plan. This request is related to a Small Scale Comprehensive Plan map amendment (LDCPAS-2025-24) from Residential Low (RL) to Community Activity Center-X (CAC) on 3.87± acres in the Transit Supportive Development Area (TSDA).
State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on June 3, 2026, with a recommendation for approval (7:0).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the second of the two hearings.
