Accept Quit Claim Deed from H.R. Baxter & Sons Enterprises, Inc. for additional right-of-way for the intersection of CR 653 and Old Bartow/Lake Wales Road. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
H.R. Baxter & Sons Enterprises, Inc. (“HR”) is a sister entity to the developer of a large-scale residential development located to the east of the intersection of Old Bartow/Lake Wales Road and CR 653 in the Winter Haven area. The developer constructed a round-a-bout at the intersection and the entrance to the development in conjunction with an Infrastructure Agreement which was entered into with the County. The roadway improvements have been completed and it was recently discovered that a small triangular shaped parcel located within the intersection is showing as under the ownership of HR. The County contacted HR and requested it convey the small parcel to the County as additional right-of-way for the roadways/intersection. HR agreed to the request and has executed and delivered a Quit Claim Deed to the County for the parcel. Accepting the Quit Claim Deed will give the County the subject parcel as right-of-way for the intersection.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the aforementioned Quit Claim Deed.
