The proposed annual agreement for the fiscal year of October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025 requires the County to pay the District an amount not to exceed $4,178,000 for the total actual costs required to meet the local match for the state and federal grants for transit services in the unincorporated areas of Polk County not lying within the District’s boundaries, certain mutually-agreed upon transit routes, an amount not to exceed 20% of the aggregate amount the County provides the District for the local matching funds and mutually-agreed upon routes, and for the District’s actual administrative expenses to provide the transit services formerly provided by the County. The County must pay the district the full agreement amount by October 15, 2024.
In addition, this Agreement fully funds the Services Costs Reserve Account at $150,000, as established in the FY 23/24 interlocal agreement, with a portion of the surplus funds from FY 22/23.
