DESCRIPTION

The subject property is all ECX in the US 98 Selected Area Plan.

State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on November 5th, 2025, with a recommendation for approval (6:1). This is the first reading of the ordinance and the adoption hearing is scheduled for December 16th, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.

 

Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted

 

RECOMMENDATION

Adopt on the second reading on December 16, 2025.
