DESCRIPTION
In March 2016, Polk County and the School Board entered into an interlocal agreement related to sidewalk funding through the use of the County’s Educational Facilities Impact Fees (the “Agreement”). Unless extended by the parties, the Agreement will expire on March 17, 2026.
The County and the School Board have mutually agreed to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional ten (10) year period, commencing March 18, 2026 and expiring March 18, 2036, unless sooner terminated in accordance with the terms of the Agreement. The proposed First Amendment to extend the Agreement will be presented to the School Board for approval at its meeting on March 24, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the First Amendment to Interlocal Agreement with the School Board of Polk County, Florida, related to the use of Educational Facilities Impact Fees.
