Accept Quit Claim Deeds for property being donated for conservation preservation, Smith Estate and Foss parcels. (No Fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The County’s Land Donation Program allows property owners to donate property to the County for which there is a need or use by the County. Representatives for the owners contacted the County and offered to donate the properties to the County. County staff reviewed the properties and determined that there is a use for the properties as they are located within recognized State Conservation Areas known as Florida Forever Board of Trustees - Project areas. The subject properties are vacant parcels with very little market value and limited or no access.
Approving the following instruments will allow the County to take ownership of the properties being donated to be utilized for conservation preservation:
1. Quit Claim Deed from Nancy S. Pigott as sole heir of the Estate of Jean W. Smith, deceased for the conveyance of Parcel ID Number 303021-000000-013020. The parcel is a vacant rectangular shaped parcel containing approximately 1.26 acres which is located within the Bombing Range Ridge Florida Forever Board of Trustees - Project area as well as being located within the Avon Park Bombing Range Buffer area.
2. Quit Claim Deed from Janet A. Foss, the un-remarried widow of Edward W. Foss, deceased, for the conveyance of Parcel ID Number 262616-000000-032280. The parcel is a vacant rectangular shaped parcel containing approximately 17,400 square feet which is located within the Green Swamp Florida Forever Board of Trustees - Project area.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept and approve for recording the afore-mentioned Quit Claim Deeds for the conveyance of property for conservation preservation purposes.
