Consider adoption of a resolution amending Resolution No. 09-217 to reduce the quorum of the Polk County Lakes Access Advisory Committee to five members.

DESCRIPTION
The Board previously created the Lakes Access Advisory Committee ("LAAC") on November 17, 2009, through Resolution No. 09-217. The LAAC's charge is to study how to increase public access to the lakes within Polk County and report findings and recommendations back to the Board.
The LAAC consists of ten (10) members appointed by the Board, with each Commissioner appointing two (2) members for staggered three-year terms. The current quorum consists of six members; however, in recent years, conducting business has become challenging due to not meeting the necessary quorum during meetings. Attendance records indicate that lowering the quorum requirement to five members will allow for business to be conducted in a more thorough and productive manner.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board adopt the associated Resolution, amending Resolution No. 09-217 and lowering the quorum of the Lakes Access Advisory Committee to five members.
