SET HEARING: (LDCPAS-2025-6 ABC Road Caloosa Fire Station CPA) to consider the adoption of a Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the Future Land Use from Agricultural/Residential Rural (A/RRX) to Institutional-1 (INSTX) on ±5.82 acres for a new County Fire Rescue Station in the Rural Development Area (RDA) and Southeast Polk SAP. DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request for property located on the south side of Alturas-Babson Park Cutoff Road just over ½ mile west of U.S. Highway 27, north of Warner Southern College, south of the City of Lake Wales, and north of the City of Frostproof in Section 26, Township 30, Range 27. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held April 2, 2025.

Request Board set the adoption hearing date for April 15, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
