DESCRIPTION

Tri-County Human Services, Inc. (TCHS) provides a substance abuse treatment program in the Polk County men’s jail facility called Jail Alternatives to Substance Abuse (JASA). The JASA program focuses on the substance abuse issues of adult male offenders by providing an array of services in order to develop the participant's cognitive, behavioral, social and vocational skills.

The contract with TCHS is effective October 1, 2021 and was scheduled to term on September 30, 2022. The first amendment to the contract extended the term of the contract to March 31, 2023 to allow for the continuation of program services while alternative funding sources are secured. This second amendment will extend the term of the contract to September 30, 2023 and add additional funding for an annual contract amount not to exceed $174,100. The extended time will allow for continued coordination with TCHS to integrate services with the Helping HANDS program.
