DESCRIPTION
CareerSource Polk respectfully requests approval to extend its designation as the Direct Provider of Workforce Services for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029, in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements. CareerSource Polk has served as the Direct Provider since 2017 and continues to believe that direct service delivery is in the best interest of job seekers, employers, and the local workforce system.
Approval of this extension will allow CareerSource Polk to maintain continuity of operations, strengthen accountability, and effectively implement targeted performance and service delivery improvements. The full request includes all required elements, supporting documentation, fiscal considerations, public notice, and comment information, and documentation of Chief Elected Official concurrence.

RECOMMENDATION
The CareerSource Polk Board of Directors respectfully requests that the Polk County Board of County Commissioners approve the extension of Career Source Polk’s designation as the Direct Provider of Workforce Services for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.
