DESCRIPTION
Rescind resolutions Nos. 2025-134 and 2026-023 in their entirety and consolidate the administration and processing of the County’s State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Purchase Assistance Program within the Housing and Neighborhood Development (HND) Department.
HND will administer all aspects of the program, including the processing of eligible down payment and closing cost assistance in accordance with the County’s approved Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP), applicable County policies and procedures, and the requirements of the SHIP Act.
Consolidating program administration within HND will provide a more efficient and streamlined process while maintaining consistent oversight and compliance with applicable SHIP requirements.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board adopt a resolution rescinding Resolution Nos. 2025-134 and 2026-023 in their entirety and authorizing the Housing and Neighborhood Development Department to administer the County’s SHIP Purchase Assistance Program, including eligible down payment and closing cost assistance in accordance with the County’s approved Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP), applicable County policies and procedures, and the requirements of the SHIP Act.
