body
DESCRIPTION
On March 1, 2022, the Board approved Professional Service Agreement 2022-013 (the “Agreement”) with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for the North Ridge Trail Project from Deen Still Road to Sand Mine Road. Tasks included updating the plans, specifications, and construction cost estimate to current standards, obtaining an FDEP permit.
During the review process, it was determined that the original Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) from the Southwest Florida Water Management District had expired in March 2020. Therefore, the preparation and submission of a new ERP application will be required to obtain a new permit authorizing construction. This Amendment 1 includes the preparation and submission of a new ERP application as well as subsurface utility exploration (SUE) to identify and mitigate potential underground utility conflicts. An additional cost of $323,232.00 will be needed for the services, bringing the new not-to-exceed amount of the agreement to $676,238.00. The services are anticipated to take an additional 7 months.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve this Amendment 1 with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., CIP amendment and budget transfer in the amount of $323,232.00 for Agreement 2022-013, the North Ridge Trail Project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Upon approval of the CIP amendment and budget transfer, $323,232.00 will be transferred from the Impact Fee Northeast Fund, Reserve for Future Capital to the Northridge Trail Phase 1 Segment 1 CIP Project.
