DESCRIPTION
The County has received the following requests to adopt resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in certain platted and unmaintained rights-of-way located within Polk County. Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.

Request Board set a public hearing date for the following requests to vacate portions of platted and unmaintained rights-of-way. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:

1. Consider a petition by Melissa Green, as authorized agent for Stephen Davenport to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of platted unmaintained right-of-way shown as 12th Street lying east of Block 6, Tier 11 and lying West of Lots 2 and 3, Block 6, Tier 10, all as shown on the map of Haskell Subdivision, recorded in Plat Book 1, at Page 5A, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. The subject right-of-way lies in Section 14, Township 29 South, Range 24 East.

2. Consider a petition by Edwin Padua Valentin and Brandon Rocco to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of platted and unmaintained right-of-way lying generally south of Lots 5 and 6, Block 8 and north of Lots 1 and 2, Block 9, as shown on the Revised Plat of Crooked Lake, as recorded in Plat Book 27, at Pages 47 and 47A, Public Records of Polk County, Florida.
