DESCRIPTION
The RSVP Grant is a three-year grant funded by the CNCS engaging 132 volunteers aged 55+ years in volunteer opportunities improving the Polk County community. The Notice of Grant Award is for year two of the three-year grant cycle. The budget period for this award will cover July 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024, due to a change in funding cycles which now run through March instead of June. There is no reduction in funding. Grant funding includes $69,933 in grant revenue; Polk County will be providing a cash match of $44,178 or 38.7% of the program budget.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the Notice of Grant Award for the operation of the RSVP Polk program.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted in the Special Revenue Grant Fund for the grant award and in-kind contribution, and the cash match is budgeted within the General Fund.
