DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request to amend LDC Chapters 2, 4, and 5 to remove Individual Mobile Homes and Mobile Home Subdivision from the use tables; Chapter 3 to remove conditional use criteria for Individual Mobile Homes and Mobile Home Subdivision; Chapter 7, Section 708, to remove parking standards for Individual Mobile Homes and Mobile Home Subdivision; and Chapter 10 to modify the single-family home definition. On October 7, 2026, the Planning Commission recommend approval (Vote 7:0) of the amendment.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
