Accept a Quit Claim Deed from Eastgroup Properties, L.P. for additional right-of-way in conjunction an Infrastructure Agreement for North Ridge Trail. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION

In July of 2025 Eastgroup Properties, LP, LLC (the “Developer”) entered into an Infrastructure Agreement with Polk County regarding the construction of a portion of a planned transportation facility known as North Ridge Trail from Deen Still Road northward to Laurel Estates Phase 2.  As part of the Agreement the Developer agreed to convey additional right-of-way to the County associated with the North Ridge Trail improvements.  A small triangular shaped parcel containing approximately 600 square feet located at the southeast corner of the development property has been identified to accommodate the roadway improvements.  The Developer has executed and delivered a Quit Claim Deed to the County for the additional right-of-way.  Accepting the aforementioned Quit Claim Deed will give the county the right-of-way needed for the new roadway improvements.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board accept the aforementioned Quit Claim Deed.

No fiscal impact.
