Approve the contract with Winter Haven Hospital, Inc. d/b/a Center for Behavioral Health (WHCBH) for the proposed renovations, equipment and supplies. (Total amount not to exceed $408,966)

DESCRIPTION
In response to a Request for Applications through Indigent Health Care, WHCBH submitted a request for partial funding of construction expenses for the renovation of the Center for Behavioral Health clinic in Winter Haven. The proposal also included a request for funding for needed equipment and supplies for the expanded offices and common areas.
WHCBH is currently contracted with the County to provide behavioral health services to Polk HealthCare Plan members and contracted with the County to provide Specialized Community Care Team (SCCT) services to low-income Polk County residents. The facility improvement project will create seven additional offices and a small conference room for behavioral health providers.
This contract will be effective April 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025. This funding request was presented to and approved by the Citizens HealthCare Oversight Committee (COC).
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the contract with WHCBH for the partial funding of renovation costs, equipment and supplies for their facility in Winter Haven.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Indigent Health Care Fund.
