body
DESCRIPTION
Polk County has a project to construct a new Sheriff district command center along the east side of Marigold Avenue, to the north of Lake Hatchineha Road in the Poinciana area. The project is nearing completion and the Tohopekaliga Water Authority (“TOHO”), as the provider of water, wastewater and reclaimed water utility services, agreed to provide said utility services to the station but has requested an easement and bill of sale over its installed facilities up to and including valves and/or meter and backflow preventer assemblies for water, wastewater, irrigation and fire line services. The installation of said utility facilities has been completed and legal descriptions for three easement areas were prepared and submitted to TOHO. The easements are located along the western boundary (road frontage) of the site, two of which measure 5-feet square with the third measuring 5-feet by 9-feet. TOHO has agreed to the easement areas and has prepared and submitted an Easement document and Bill of Sale for review and approval. Approving and authorizing the Easement and Bill of Sale will give TOHO the easement needed to operate and maintain its facilities and thereby allow it to provide utility services to the Sheriff facility.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board authorize the aforementioned Easement and Bill of Sale to TOHO.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact.
