DESCRIPTION
Polk County Utilities is requesting approval of a sole source agreement with Fluid Control Specialties to provide Dezurik valves and Rotork actuators, OEM replacement parts, and associated services for the County's water production and wastewater treatment facilities. Services include maintenance, repair services, field service, and technical support for valves and actuators used to provide flow control to various critical water and wastewater treatment processes.
Maintaining this equipment is necessary to support reliable water production and wastewater treatment facilities operating efficiently. Fluid Control Specialties provides authorized service and OEM replacement parts for its equipment.
The sole source agreement will be for a five-year period upon execution by the County.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve sole source agreement with Fluid Control Specialties, LLC to provide products, maintenance, and repair services for valves and actuators for the water production and wastewater treatment facilities.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Utilities Operating Fund. ($150,000 estimated annual expense)
