DESCRIPTION

The most recent Southwest Regional Service Area Master Plan was completed in 2016.  To address new regulatory policies as well as updated growth projections and development pressures in the region, Polk County Utilities is proposing to update the masterplan.  The update will address facility needs to potable water and wastewater systems, as well as the future of reclaimed water use, and will set forth a plan to serve future growth by identifying capital improvement projects to meet projected demands through fiscal year 2045.   The County has requested that the Consultant provide engineering services in support of the project.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve Consultant Services Authorization 2024-007-02 with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for the Southwest Regional Utility Service Area Master Plan Update Project at a cost not to exceed $314,995.29.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

Connection fee funding in the amount of $314,995.29 is available in the Utilities five-year Expansion Community Investment Program budget.
