DESCRIPTION
In December 2022, Polk County Board of County Commissioners approved Contract Amendment #6 to the Residential Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Collection Franchise Agreement (16-074) with FCC. This amendment increased the rate of collection from $10.38 per dwelling per month to $12.71 per dwelling per month. As a result of this change a transfer $1,950,000 from the Universal Solid Waste Collection Reserve for Contingency is required to cover the associated charges.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve a budget transfer from Reserve for Contingency for FY 22/23 Waste & Recycling Universal Solid Waste Collections Budget totaling $1,950,000.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available for transfer from Universal Solid Waste Collection Reserve for Contingency.
