DESCRIPTION
A Public Hearing is required to consider the adoption of an ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance 2006-024, the Polk County Procurement Ordinance, as amended. The Polk County Board of County Commissioners had delegated to the County Manager the authority to enter into agreements in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) without further approval of the Board. The proposed ordinance would increase the County Manager’s authorized amount from One Hundred Thousand Dollars to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000).
RECOMMENDATION
Set a public hearing on June 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. for purposes of considering adoption of an ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance 2006-024, the Polk County Procurement Ordinance, as amended, to increase the authorized maximum amount the County Manager may enter into without further Board approval to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000).

No fiscal impact will be realized by setting the hearing.
