DESCRIPTION

The Polk Regional Water Cooperative (PRWC) is completing projects to deliver alternative water supply (AWS) for the participating member communities. The East Regional Water Utility Service Area (ERUSA) will receive the AWS from the PRWC’s Southeast Wellfield and distribute it to the East Public Water System. This project will also result in the construction of a new public supply well to replace the existing well at the Timberlake Water Treatment Plant.

On September 19, 2023, the Board approved Agreement 2023-051, Professional Engineering Services for the ERUSA AWS Receiving Facility with Dewberry Engineers, Inc. (Lakeland) for Part 1 services to provide project management, support, preliminary design, and permitting services for a not-to exceed amount of $234,273.56.

This amendment incorporates Part 2 services for the project, which includes project management, support, final design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration phase services, for a not-to-exceed amount of $697,212.80, and is estimated to take approximately 760 days to complete.

The total not-to-exceed amount for Part 1 and Part 2 services is $931,486.36.
