SUBJECT

title

Resolution to amend the FY 23/24 budget for the Rohr Home Fund and transfer funds from the Indigent Health Care Half-Cent Sales Surtax Fund to cover unbudgeted expenses. ($715,000 one-time revenue and expense)

body

DESCRIPTION

During FY 23/24, funds were budgeted for the Rohr Home for six months of operations in anticipation that the facility would be sold before that time. The potential buyer terminated its agreement on January 4, 2024, and the Rohr Home subsequently closed on June 7, 2024. The extended operation and staffing demands resulted in higher-than-expected expenses compared to the initial budget plan.

The Indigent Health Care Half-Cent Sales Surtax Fund funded $551,015 towards the Rohr Home’s FY 23/24 budget.

RECOMMENDATION

Approve resolution to amend the FY 23/24 budget for the Rohr Home Fund in the amount of $715,000 and transfer funds from the Indigent Health Care Half-Cent Sales Surtax Fund to cover unbudgeted expenses.

FISCAL IMPACT

Upon approval of the resolution and transfer of funds from the Indigent Health Care Half-Cent Sales Surtax Fund, the Rohr Home Fund budget will cover all FY 23/24 actual expenses.
