DESCRIPTION
Central Florida Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary and specialty care, dental, and behavioral health services throughout Polk County. Central Florida Health Care is contracted with the County to provide services to low-income Polk County residents.
This contract will be effective from July 27, 2026, to July 26, 2027. Funding provided under this contract will be to reimburse the purchase of medical, dental, and diagnostic equipment for Central Florida Health Care’s Lakeland location.
Equipment included is for:
• Autoclave and various dental items
• Exam Tables and various medical items
• ECG and various diagnostic gear
This funding request was presented to and approved by the Citizens HealthCare Oversight Committee.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the contract with Central Florida Health Care for the purchase of equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Indigent Health Care Funds.
