DESCRIPTION
As Polk County’s population continues to grow, residents have faced significant challenges related to noise disturbances. The County's existing noise regulations, originally adopted under Ordinance 14-030, as amended, are insufficient for addressing the types of noise issues currently being faced by our residents.
The purpose of this ordinance is to repeal and replace the existing noise ordinance to provide an updated framework for effectively protecting the public health, safety, general welfare, and the reasonable peace and quiet of Polk County residents.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Ordinance of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners repealing and restating Polk County Noise Ordinance 2014-030, as amended.
