DESCRIPTION

This is a County-initiated request to change the Future Land Use designation from Residential Low-X (RLX) to Recreation and Open Space-X (ROSX) on ±80.26 acres and Institutional-X (INSTX) on ±1.95 acres to recognize an existing regional park and fire rescue station for property located East of U.S. Highway 27, south of International Bass Boulevard, north of Florence Villa Grove Road, west of the Osceola County Line, South of Clermont, North of Haines City, and the City of Davenport in Section 12, Township 25, and Range 26.   State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on September 6, 2023, with a recommendation of approval (7:0).  This is the first of two public hearings before the Board. The final adoption Hearing will be held January 9, 2024 after comments are received from the state.
