DESCRIPTION
In FY 22/23 the County requested Federal funding for the FDC Grove Road / North Ridge Trail Flyover. On June 1st, 2023, the County was awarded $4,000,000.00 for an alignment study for the project. In FY 23/24 the County requested more Federal funding for the project for design, Right of Way, and construction. On August 27th, 2024, the county was awarded an additional $6,000,000.00 for the project; for a total of $10,000,000.00. This agreement is for the additional $6 Million in funding toward this project.
The purpose of this project is to construct a flyover over I-4 to allow local traffic to move north and south utilizing a route parallel to U.S. Highway 27, thereby alleviating traffic congestion at on Hwy 27.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board Approve a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Grant Agreement #B-24-CP-FL-0609, associated resolution, CIP Amendment and budget transfer to amend the budget for unanticipated revenue for the FDC Grove Road /North Ridge Trail Flyover. ($6,000,000.00 one-time unanticipated revenue)
FISCAL IMPACT
Upon approval of the agreement and CIP Amendment and budget resolution, Funding in the amount of $6,000,000.00 will be transferred from the Special Revenue Grants Fund to a project specific fund within the Roads and Drainage FDC Grove Road/Northridge Flyover CIP Project.
