DESCRIPTION
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is requesting an amendment to the Standard Grant Agreement Number LPR0020 to align with the project completion date. The schedule amendment will extend the expiration date to March 31, 2026. Through the Department’s Land Application Reduction Program, the grant agreement provides reimbursement for 100 percent of the costs up to $2,938,125 for the design, permitting, and construction of Polk County Septage Receiving Station to allow haulers to discharge septage at a treatment facility as opposed to land application. Expenses associated with the project totaling $2,938,125 will be eligible for reimbursement in accordance with the agreement conditions.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Amendment No. 1 for the Standard Grant Agreement Number LPR0020 between the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Polk County for the Polk County Septage Receiving Stations Project (Land Application Reduction Program).
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact. Under the terms of the Standard Grant Agreement, the State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection will reimburse the County. Funds are budgeted and available in the Community Investment Program Septage Receiving Station Project Budget.
