DESCRIPTION
The County's Uniform Roadway Address System Ordinance 04-89 was developed to ensure that a standardized addressing system is applied across the County. As a provision of the County's Uniform Roadway Address System Ordinance, citizens are authorized to petition the County to change the name of a roadway. A citizen has requested the above private roadway name change. In accordance with the Uniform Roadway Address System Ordinance, 100% of the property owners in question must be petitioned with at least 75% agreement of responding property owners is required. In the case of Jeanette Lane, the E9-1-1 Office petitioned the one property owner affected and who responded yes, thus 100% has agreed to change the road name to Haunted Forest Road.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend Board adopt attached Resolution renaming the roadway from Jeanette Lane.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $47.20 are available in the Transportation Trust Fund for the replacement of the existing road sign.
