DESCRIPTION

Polk County School Board is requesting to vacate a portion of a planned residential subdivision for development of a new high school. The Poinciana Subdivision Neighborhood 3 West Village 8 Plat was accepted by the Board in 1971, and it included right-of-ways, drainage and utility easements. The development was not constructed. Per Chapter 336 of the Florida Statues, the Board is required to hold a public hearing and take action on vacating the public’s interest in right-of-ways and easements.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board set the hearing date for October 6, 2026, at 9:15 a.m.
