DESCRIPTION
Polk County Utilities and Information Technology Divisions have coordinated with the vendor to provide a fiber optic-based Internet service solution to 28 water and wastewater treatment locations. These sites have been deemed critical infrastructure by the Federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Administration (CISA), which stipulates that each site should have resilient internet service. The attached service orders will provide fiberoptic internet service to the 28 locations, with speeds varying between 100MB to 1GB depending on usage. This internet service includes guaranteed service level agreements for uptime and repairs at these mission critical locations.

The original Spectrum Enterprise Service Agreement was signed in 2021 by the County Manager based upon the estimated annual expenses at that time. As a result of the additional services comprised in the attached service orders, execution of the referenced Amendment by the Board is requested. This Amendment No. 1 also updates Spectrum and Information Technology contacts to reflect current employees.
