DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Management Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in the construction of a 3,606 SF single-story pre-engineered metal building for the Roads & Drainage Division inspection and testing. The building includes a laboratory, covered walkways, patio areas, and covered parking on the north and east sides. The facility is located at 3000 Sheffield Road, Winter Haven, FL. Following an evaluation of the existing building, it was determined that it is outdated and aging, and constructing a new building would provide a more efficient and cost effective long-term solution to support the operational needs of the Roads & Drainage Division.
Bid 25-614, Construction of a New Inspection & Testing Building was issued, and nine contractors submitted a bid.
